Princeton Softech Provides Enterprise Data Management Siebel Solution for Full-Service Zurich Cantonal Bank

Zurich Cantonal Bank Chooses Optim™ Siebel® Solution to Control Data Growth

PRINCETON, NJ -
February 5, 2007 - Princeton Softech, the market leader in enterprise data management, today announced that Zurich Cantonal Bank (ZKB), Zurich’s leading full-service bank, has selected Princeton Softech Optim™ Siebel® Solution to help control data growth, optimize storage utilization and speed a planned upgrade from Siebel version 7.5 to 8.0. ZKB will implement Optim to improve data management and operational efficiencies across its Siebel CRM applications and Oracle® databases on the IBM® AIX™ platform.

As Switzerland’s largest Cantonal Bank and the third-largest Swiss bank, ZKB relies on its Siebel CRM applications to effectively manage its wealth of customer information. As business expands, so does the amount of customer and business information that must be managed and retained. Continued rapid data growth can strain IT resources, lengthen maintenance windows and increase expenses. In choosing Princeton Softech Optim, ZKB is taking a proactive approach for managing data growth and ensuring superior services levels.

“We selected Optim because it provides proven enterprise capabilities for managing continued data growth,” states Alex Navarrete, Head of Siebel Competence Center at Zurich Cantonal Bank. “Using Optim, we can avoid potential performance and availability issues that stem from storing historical customer data in our Siebel production environment and ensure consistent service levels to satisfy our client and business requirements.”

With Optim, companies can segregate current from historical data and move it to a secure, but easily accessible archive. Siebel databases are streamlined, improving response time for banking service inquiries and requests, while enhancing customer satisfaction. Optim enables companies to align data management with business objectives, from defining retention policies to reducing the time for completing application upgrade projects. Implementing cost-effective tiered storage strategies to manage and protect Siebel data ultimately helps organizations control costs, mitigate risks and optimize performance.

“As the market leader in enterprise data management, Princeton Softech strives to meet the evolving data management needs of our clients,” explains Paul Winn, chairman, CEO and president of Princeton Softech. “As companies seek to achieve their business objectives and gain full return on their investment in enterprise applications, we will continue to provide them with the technology they need to manage their enterprise data throughout every stage of its lifecycle.”

Founded in 1870, ZKB holds a leading market position in Zurich, Switzerland, providing banking services that support companies and individuals in the most populous of the Swiss Cantons. While ZKB maintains excellent business relations in many important markets, it also cooperates with foreign partner banks.

Princeton Softech enterprise data management solutions are available for Oracle® E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft® Enterprise, JD Edwards® EnterpriseOne, Siebel® applications and Amdocs® CRM, as well as all custom applications.
